Factory Toyota part, not aftermarket. The lower ball joint carries the full cornering load through the front suspension and is a known wear item on these chassis — play here shows up as vague steering, uneven tyre wear and a knock over bumps. Worn ball joints are also a common roadworthy failure.

Toyota supply these as a complete joint with the dust boot and retaining hardware. Replace in pairs — if one side has play the other is the same age, and the alignment has to be done regardless.
