Returns
Please choose carefully before placing your order. We operate on tight margins to offer the best possible prices.
If you wish to request a return, contact us by email within 30 days of receiving your order.
To be eligible for a return, the item must:
- Be brand new, unused and uninstalled
- Be in its original unopened packaging
- Be in a condition suitable for resale
Supplier Packaging & Quality Control
Supplier packaging may be opened by JDM Restoration for inspection, quality control, consolidation or export purposes. Opening the manufacturer's packaging for these purposes does not constitute a used item and does not affect the item's condition or warranty.
We do not accept change-of-mind returns on:
- Electrical items
- Headlights
- Special order items
- Items ordered specifically at a customer's request
- Any item that has been opened, installed, modified or damaged after delivery
Approved change-of-mind returns will incur a 20% restocking fee to cover handling, processing and supplier charges.
All return requests are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Submission of a return request does not guarantee approval.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled only before they have been processed or placed with our supplier.
Once an order has been placed with our supplier, allocated, packed or dispatched, it cannot be cancelled.
Many parts are ordered specifically for each customer. Once we have committed to purchasing the part on your behalf, the order becomes non-cancellable.
If a cancellation is approved after processing, it will be treated as a change-of-mind return and may be subject to a 20% restocking fee together with any supplier cancellation charges incurred by JDM Restoration.
Special Orders & Supplier Availability
Many parts are sourced directly from manufacturers or overseas suppliers and are not held in stock.
Occasionally a supplier may:
- Discontinue a part
- Increase the wholesale price
- Be unable to supply the item
In these circumstances, we reserve the right to:
- Cancel the order and provide a full refund, or
- Contact you to approve any price increase before proceeding
Prices and availability are subject to change without notice until confirmed by our supplier.
Refunds
Once your returned item has been received, it will be inspected.
If the return is approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method, less any applicable restocking fee.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
Refund processing times vary depending on your financial institution.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service, as we cannot accept responsibility for returned items that are lost or damaged during transit.

Ordering Responsibility
It is your responsibility to ensure all part numbers, vehicle details and compatibility are correct before placing an order.
If you are unsure whether a part is suitable for your vehicle, please contact us before purchasing.
Returns will not be accepted for parts ordered incorrectly by the customer where the item is a special order, electrical component, or non-returnable item under this policy.
Warranty & Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Where a product is faulty, incorrectly supplied or does not comply with the Australian Consumer Law, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with our legal obligations.
